HEY, I'M SHAYLYN
The Story ehind My Work (and yours)
Everything I've done and do in my life is centered around sharing stories -- I am an actress, singer, dancer, artist, and model, but when I got pregnant with my daughter, I started exploring other art forms as a way of story telling, and prayed to God that He show me a way to serve people, not just entertain them.
I got my first "real" camera, and began being mentored by the photographers I worked with as a model. Once I felt confident in my abilities to shoot and edit, my own business was born. I quickly discovered that I felt best (and delivered my best work) when I was able to manage the details of a shoot, plan closely with one person on achieving their vision, and made a huge impact in my clients' dreams when they were able to use my photos for their growth. (No more family photography for me, with crazy kids and begrudging dads haha!). I niched down to brand photography because of these reasons, and because I feel most fulfilled when helping others achieve their goals, boost their confidence, and gain success.
After some growing pains of learning to be business savvy, I wanted to offer more to help the small business community. I have always been ultra-creative and love adding to my skillset, so it made sense to start offering brand design and strategy. Using the same skills I learned as a professional actor, I started putting myself into the heads of business owners, and of their target audiences. This practice has helped me develop intentionality within all my designs, and has brought great results to my clients!
All the things I've loved and dabbled in since I was 10 - musical theatre, drawing and painting, interior design, modeling, art, dance, performing - it's all led me to be uniquely qualified to uplift others and help tell their story by collaborating to craft them a visual identity that shares the heart of their business. My driving force (besides my daily double espresso) is knowing what a difference strong branding makes for my clients; to see them confidently sharing about their offers and feeling legitimate in their business is amazing.

I tell them: "I'm a personal brand photographer and designer! I help small businesses and entrepreneurs build a strong visual presence that makes it easy for them to inspire connection and engagement with their ideal clients."

"You know the term fake it 'til ya make it ? I help people step out of that mindset by showing them how legit they are. And once they see themselves that way, they are excited to show up for others that way! I make sure my clients have what they need to represent their business well and pump out content that isn't full of stock photos and selfies."

I won't just throw designs at you and hope they stick. My process is like an artful dance, each move intentional, every brushstroke purposeful. I work meticulously to craft every detail, ensuring that every pixel, every color, tells a story – your story.
